These large 1919 commercial fixtures are perfect for today's modern kitchens, bathrooms, walk in closets, hallways, or home theater. Gracious and classic with a ring of Greek Key ornamentation around the upper lip of the bottom bowl and a large brass loop and hook fitter attachment. The upper ring of the bowls are marked "Brascolite" with patent dates of 1913 & 1919". The heavy duty solid brass shade/socket holder has a patent date of May 14, 1912 and is signed "The Plume & Atwood Mfg Co Waterbury Conn". The brass on the fixture has been patinated which could also be painted or polished brass.
The drop shown is the length of the original fitting. This fixture can be shortened cutting the tube or lengthened by adding heavy duty chain between the loop and hook.
Glass in great condition with no chips or cracks.
These are heavy so plan accordingly and they can handle a 250 watt light bulb.
Drop as shown is 35 inches and the width of the top glass is almost 17 inches across. |
