Solid Copper Pre WW1 Vintage Porch Lantern with Original Globe

Item Code: POR20120519002
Sold
Year : 1920-1930
Unique solid copper porch light dated 1910 - 1917. Copper was not used as the main metal in antique fixtures after WW1, but even the hinge pin is copper.
Also unique about this vintage lantern is that the fixture top just hinges down onto the top of the globe to hold it in place. The hinged top is heavy (again, solid copper) and this must work as it has survived this long. Glass shade has one small chip which is covered by the copper top.
Looks to be styled after the lanterns and railroad lighting of its day.
Height: 10 inches
Width: 6 inches
