About Us

This website is a culmination of years (literally) of dreams, talk and planning. Our mission is to share with you the wonderful world of Vintage and Antique Lighting. During the unique period of 1890 - 1930, art and craftsmanship was combined with the new technology, electricity, and artisans created some of the most beautiful and compelling accents in modern history. William Morris stated in 1882, "If you want a golden rule that will fit everybody, this is it: Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Authentic Vintage Lighting fulfils this golden rule.

About This Site :

We have created one of the Web's foremost Vintage and Antique Lighting site. Our sincere hope is that our passion for this genre of illumination will shine through to you. We offer not only genuine Vintage Lighting for sale, but also a unique historical perspective contained in catalogs, articles, and blogs so you can see what fixtures may have graced your home when it was built. We add new vintage fixtures, articles, and antique catalogs all the time, so be sure to check back often.

We also offer on our site the Internet's largest free online resource library of original vintage lighting catalogs.  There are over 10,000 images of antique and vintage lighting fixtures from their original catalogs in the "Old Catalogues" section .

And if you do not see what you are looking for just drop us an email, as we have extensive sources which allow us to search for that specific vintage fixture or antique shade you are looking for.

To be fair to all we do not offer values, estimates, or opinions because we cannot see the piece in person.

We do purchase select items all the time.  If you have something to sell we would need 3 things. 1. images of the item, 2. description including any/all damage and 3. What you are asking for it.  Without all three we cannot proceed.
