Truly spectacular and very rare (only ones we have ever had) pair of slip shade vintage wall sconces. You do not see many examples of wall lighting with the attention to detail and design which these fixtures posses. A rich plethora of art deco design elements including floral, curves, dew drops, just the right amount of asymmetry, and of course the elongated tail. The "tail" is reminiscent of the sleet and sensuous hood ornaments found in the 20s & 30s. Even the way the tail floats off the wall by 2 1/2 inches speaks to the influence of the hood ornament designs of their day.
Two piece solid aluminum frame which has only been polished to bring back their original luster.
"Birdwing" slip shades are in excellent condition.
Of course rewired, tested and ready to install with the included mounting brackets.
