Uniquely Painted Vintage Square Ceiling Fixture

Item Code: CEI20141215002
Sold
Year : 1920-1930
The painted glass shade dates to the 1920s -1930s. Unique design which has elements of several popular styles of its day, Arts & Crafts, Spanish Revival, Art Deco, and Craftsman. What a mix!
Safe to say it would look fabulous in any Bungalow kitchen, especially if there is a dining nook.
The cream colored background on the glass has been mottled with a very light yellow. Looks like the background was fired with an oil which give it it's mottled look.
The stenciled floral design is only 2 colors, dark green and a black cherry red, yet it is bold and stands out well against the cream background. The larger bottom border give the impression of a picket fence. The leaves appear to be on steroids and probably were the inspiration for the Little Shop of Horrors.
The nice bottom design looks like it could be used as a model for a tattoo. (Maybe I will pass this idea along to my wife?)
Shown on a flush mount vintage fitter which has been painted a dark oil rubbed bronze color. The fitter can be painted almost any color or the shade can be mounted on a pole or chain if a longer drop is needed. Any alterations to drop are charged at our cost only.
Drop as shown:10 1/2 inches
Width: 10 1/4 inches
