Amazing example of Early 20th Century Design .
Late 20s to early 30s antique slip shade chandelier with Tudor and Art Deco influences. We have not seen this fixture before we acquired this one. We know it is from an American manufacturer so it must be a rare one indeed.
This vintage lighting fixture retains its original finish and patina which we would call a faux pewter. Heavy in weight as most of it is made of cast iron.
It is designed after the Tudor & Gothic cathedrals of Europe with stylized Flying Buttresses and rib vaults. Another example of how designers in the early part of the 20th Century were able to create a work of art which appeals to a wide range of market tastes, in this case from Art Deco to Roman Gothic.
