Pair Mid Century Art Deco Womans Face Wall Sconce

Item Code: WAL20160630002
Sold
Year : 1940+
Great Art Deco styling that fits seamlessly into Mid Century Moderne
Circa 1970s these were made by Sarsaparilla, a high end reproduction firm out of New York which made many reproductions of early Frankart pieces during the 70s and early 80s using the original Frankart molds.
These are a pair of what looks to be polished aluminum with a matte black trim along the forehead and in the recesses of the back plate.
The face sits on top of the wavy, hair like ribs and when lit give it a feeling of depth. The top is also open lighting the wall above it when lit. Small holes for eyes also shine when lit (I think she follows me with her eyes as I walk around her).
Originally UL listed as Portable Lamps (see image of original sticker) with 6 1/2 feet of cord and an inline on/off switch.
7 1/2 inches high
6 1/8 inches wide
2 7/8 inch projection
