This antique Art Deco globe, commonly called "Blue Ice or Ice Blue," introduces a cool blue atmosphere to the decor when lit. This one has a smokey blue color.
The blue color fades somewhat when lit but a fabulous blue shines when not lit. There are several variations of this globe from the '30s, some conical, some more square, but all share a link to the Art Deco period of design and style, and oh what a style these have! These vintage Deco electric light fixtures would have originally been found in hotel lobbies, auto dealerships, department stores, schoolhouses, or banks but now they are right at home, well, in a home. Great for kitchens or baths. What great lighting for a master bedroom! Great entryway fixture as well.
On the larger side at 13 inches across.
