What a wonderful exuberant display of the artistry created during the Art Deco period in American design. The deco inspired floral design of greens, oranges, reds, and blues are all still showing vividly. Slight Asian feel along with some classical detailing indicates the expertise the designer of this pattern has. Everything very well executed with no noticeable loss of paint.
We will be displaying more from this wonderful line of signed Lightolier deco shades in the near future. Signature shown in image.
The glass does has a slight green tint to it when the light is turned off but has a wonderful warm yellow glow when lit. Image colors are pretty accurate. Lit with 15 watt bulbs in the pictures which do photograph a bit warmer than a higher wattage bulb would look in person. This is very high quality glass.
The high quality solid brass painted vintage ceiling mount, shown in the images, is signed by Beardslee of Chicago. Their logo is a B inside a Fleur de Lei, see image. |
