Bungalow Green Porcelain Vintage Sconce

Item Code: WAL20210301001
Sold
Year : 1920-1930
A very nice example of the rare vintage Bungalow Green porcelain wall lighting fixture dating from the late 1920s through the 1930s. Typically found only in vintage bathrooms and kitchens but in today's home these classy antique lighting fixtures are a welcome accent anywhere in the home. Also found during that time frame were matching green accent tile, sinks, and tubs. The antique glass shade is a "clam broth" color, an opaque milky white. The shade has some interesting designs on it, shown in one image from the top. Shade is lit with a 15 watt light bulb which gives it the yellow tint which would not be seen with a higher wattage bulb. Old porcelain fixtures of this era are likely to have some minor 'crazing" or cracks in just the outer layer of glaze or some minor manufacturing defects. There are no noticeable cracks or chips out of the porcelain.
Fixture is rewired, tested, and comes with mounting brackets so it is ready to install.
Height: 6 1/2 inches
Width: 8 1/8 inches (shade)
