These antique Art Deco globes, commonly called "Blue Ice or Ice Blue" introduce a cool blue atmosphere to the decor when lit. The blue color fades somewhat when lit but a fabulous blue shines when not lit. There are several variations of this globe from the '30s, some conical, some more square, but all share a link to the Art Deco period of design and style, and oh what a style these have! These vintage Deco electric light fixtures would have originally been found in hotel lobbies, auto dealerships, department stores, schoolhouses, or banks but now they are right at home, well, in a home. Great for kitchens or baths. What great lighting for a master bedroom! Great entryway fixture as well.
Ceiling canopy in copper really snaps the blue.
Globe itself is 14 inches by 14 inches, shown with a 12 inch drop on the chain fitter and a 13 inch drop on the pole fitter.
Total drop with polished pole mount is 26 1/2 inches as shown which can be adjusted. Can also be chain hung with a painted or chrome fitter or flush mounted in any color. |
